【Infographic: Master International Trade Terms DDP / DDU / DAP in Seconds 🚢】
Constantly seeing these terms in foreign trade or cross-border business? Simply focus on where the “responsibility and risk” are transferred!
🔹 DDP (Seller All-Inclusive): As shown in the leftmost diagram, the seller is fully responsible, much like a captain! They cover all freight, insurance, and even “import duties” at the destination. The buyer enjoys the most convenience, only needing to receive the goods.
🔸 DDU / DAP (Buyer Responsible for Customs): The seller handles transport to the destination, but please note👉 “import customs clearance and taxes” must be handled by the buyer! Risk also transfers to the buyer at the destination.
Look at the characters below: the seller’s risk is highest under DDP (the big red monster) and relatively lower under DAP. Remember to check the terms carefully for your next quote! 🤓
