ZIM, a leading shipping company, has announced the launch of a new route called ZAT, which will provide direct shipping services between China, South Korea, Mexico, and the West Coast of South America. The purpose of this route is to promote trade growth and diversification between the Asian market and the emerging economies of South America.

ZIM plans to deploy 4250 TEU container vessels on this route to ensure transportation flexibility. The ZAT route is scheduled to commence operations in China in December 2023 and includes the following port rotations: Tianjin Xin Port, Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Busan, Lazaro Cardenas, Buenaventura, Guayaquil, Callao, San Antonio, Busan, and Tianjin Xin Port.

This new route will provide a more convenient option for trade between China, South Korea, Mexico, and the West Coast of South America, contributing to economic cooperation and development in these regions.
